Vinicius Linhares - Guitar 

Vinícius Linhares da Silva (also known as Vinny Linhares) is a classical guitarist born in Brazil and based in Regina, SK, since January 2024. Graduated in music at the Universidade Federal de Goiás (Federal University of Goias), located in his hometown,Goiania, and has been active as a music teacher, researcher, and performer for over 20 years, perpassing by stages, music schools and studios in Canada, the USA, and Brazil.

At his young age, Mr. Linhares was laureated with the first prize at the National

Competition for Classical Guitar of the 25 th International Music Festival of School of Music and Performing Arts of Federal University of Goias, in 2004.

As a concertist, his career is solemnized by his performances of the “Concerto No.1,

op.99”, by the Italian composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, along with the Symphonic Orchestra of Goiania during his tour In Brazil in July, 2018, as well as his recital for guitar solo at the 22th Annual Fraser Valley Acoustic Guitar Festival in Langley, BC, in February, 2019.

In addition, Mr. Linhares had participated in dozens of music festivals, seminars,

symposiums, and others, where he had classes with worldwide-renowned guitarists,

highlighting Paul Galbraith, Eduardo Fernandez, Fabio Zanon, Eduardo Isaac, João Luiz Lopes (Brasil Guitar Duo), Duo Siqueira-Lima, and many others.

Currently, Vinny is an active member of Regina Classical Guitar Society (RCGS) and

Vancouver Classical Guitar Society (VCGS), and former integrator of Vancouver Guitar Orchestra (VGO).Vinny plays the guitar and the guitarron with the Mariachi Latino Band.
